    BBCs have gone that quick and quicker for years. It's no big deal for a BBC to make over 2,500hp.

    This thread went down the tubes. . . . . . . Who fricken cares about bbc being faster or not. I don't. Lets stay on topic, I would say the ops original question has been answered and answered well.

    Because they're running a turbo that's hard to launch but does well from a roll (most ricers).

    I didn't intend to bring the thread down. I just made the comment if you want big cubes, a big block is the way to go.

    Here's a teaser. My aluminum 572 pump gas street motor before the nitrous kit (the thing on top is a carburetor). The black one in the background is a 502 for my 68 shortwide...
