Titan owners are almost as bad, it is this Japanese superiority thing or something people in this country have.. they act like they are in a Star Trek kind of technology thing in the Toyota's, Nissan's and mitsubishi's compared to the rest of the world. I hear it all too often.
guess that's why I'm letting of steam here.
They don't want to admit the Chevy is better for power... I was a Mopar guy in the 80's and 90's (except I always had GM trucks), and I always knew who made better power for less $$$.. cold hard facts are hard to swallow
it you can't beat em, join em.
Anyways, good kills on the TRD tundra ..
who cares about nissan and toyota already lol this is a gm truck forum,,i rather talk about fords haha
ive never really ran into a titan or tundra yet....lightnings yes!! and i dont like em cuz i cant beat em just yet lol.
im a 08' 4.8 did the z06 cam,8 psi-still couldnt beat em
so now im gonna swap the motor and go n/a

The difference between winning and losing, is having a 2nd stage.
But which one has more Potential? Which costs the least to build into a monster. And which one will you drive like you stole it, park it for 20 years and let you kid drive it through highschool without anything more than an oil change, some fresh gas, and a new set of tires. . .
A CHEVY!
TRUE !!!
take a Ls7 vs a yota's 5.7 3ur engine.. lets compare
one is 7.0 ltr, the other is 5.7 ltr..
the LS7 is 500+ hp, it takes the Totoya tundra's 3UR 5.7 ltr engine $10k 4 valve per cyl racing heads AND a supercharger to get 500 hp
And the argument of cubic inches can be thrown out.. oh it does do help some, but let face the facts, a stock 400 cubic inch SBC of the 70s has no where near the potential as a 346 ls1 .. the 500 Caddy engine vs a L72 427
head floe beats out cubic inches here.
Even the 1997 LS1 5.7 with crap flowing 2 valve heads and intake has the same power as the Tundra's 4 valve per cyl head 5.7 TRD, and the ls1 is a 10 year older engine.
I'm not saying the Tundra 5.7 is a dog or slow. they are faster stock vs stock than GM and I know there are less mods for the Toyota's, but with equal mods and weight, the LS walk them..
I wonder how much money ordering 4 cams would cost for the Tundra?? LOL
Yet all I hear from the Tundra crowd is, "mine is stock and I beat a 5.3 with headers, exhaust, CAI, tune, pully" .. and then add--"i'm getting headers, and intake next. like they have a Alien UFO engine compared to the chevy's Model T engine.. the 4.8 and 5.3 have dinky cams and crap flowing heads...
So yeah, no s**T!
I've seen 5.3's stock compression, bolts on and cam get 325 RWHP... with the 9 something to 1 CR and crap heads.... that's impressive!
I'd like to see someone build a 5.3 with 10:1 pistons and 300 cfm heads and get over 400 rwhp, there have been a few 5.7 ls1's get over 500 rwhp N/A all engine, so 20 less cubes isn't going to break the deal
I know my wimpy 5.3 has nothing for anyone.
You're not missing anything. I got the new trundra and new titan on a 3 lane lol all of us lined at a red light, non expectingly. It was crazy, and i was just cruising to a local place to eat. Had 4 people in the truck, and one of them revved it and that was it. I skipped across the intersection and had 2 trucks on both of them, and just took off and stopped at 80. DIdn't even bother with it after that.
07 nnbs ecsb 5.3, full bolt on, Blown. 6.0 swap going in now, and maybe 100 shot. To be continued...
