Heres a good question for you. If Toyota makes such a crappy product, why do they hold value way better than anything else? Not to mention they sale easier with higher miles. Wouldnt be because they have a reputation for making a long lasting relibale vehicle, would it?

Facts are there to support both sides of the argument. Chevy fits me at the time and I am happy with it, but I also cant wait to get a nicer truck.

Maybe you havent seen an I-Force swap because they are way expensive, complicated, and less available. No denying anything. LS motors are way simple and less expensive, but technologically better? Two different beast...I dont have a degree to back up any claims on what might be better. Better is a word that is subjective to different people.

Didn't start this thread to get all hyped up, not directing this to anyone in particular, hope we all can not flame war here ok!

First off, Toyota have a better resale valve because a lot of Americans want the NEW.. Toyota is new here in the USA compared to the BIG THREE, so everyone (almost) has to have "the new".. remember back in the 80's EVERYONE had to have a minivan.. same with now a days, people have Cell phones, now now you can text on them... much more time consuming and you do not get to hear a voice.. yet it is new compared to voice to voice, so TEXTING is in DEMAND, and EVERYONE loves it... but does that make it better????

Same with toyota, people after 90 years of Dodge, Chevy and Ford in the generations, want something different.. so the jap truck come at the right time and and people swarm to them,, and then CLAIM they are better.

Teens CLAIM texting is better than voice to voice.. on a cell phone!
the race to get the new does not make it better!

    is toyota better
There is no fact except consumers who own a toyota CLAIM there new toyota truck is better than then the ford or chevy truck they had..

Well no duuu.. anyone who gets a new truck is not going to say "my 12 year old worn chevy is better than my new truck"

I've seen many toyotas broke down and friends who have problems with them... they have them fixed, then say "it is beter than GM or Chevy"

I've seen Ford dodge and GM have problems too, but import worshipers always CLAIM the Toyota or Titan is better

I don't know the toyota production data, but i could almost guarantee that with their more complex engine borrowing racing parts, they don't have nearly as consistent production practices.

On top of all of that, the LS engine was built on a foundation of nearly 100 years of racing automobiles. And the fact that They produce so much power with the same old Pushrod 16v V8 is astounding. There is not other company in the world today that makes a more powerful Pushrod ''production'' engine. And with just a few upgrades, they overpower all others in the genre.

Chevy makes a quality product and so does Toyota. But which one has more Potential? Which costs the least to build into a monster. And which one will you drive like you stole it, park it for 20 years and let you kid drive it through highschool without anything more than an oil change, some fresh gas, and a new set of tires. . .

Genius !!! could not have said it better.

another note.. the Tundra 5.7 at 381 Flyweel HP is a disgrace, having a $10,000 set of race 32 valve DHHC cam heads on a 5.7 ltr engine and only topping out at 381 hp is nothing to brag about...

the same LS6 5.7 GM product is over 400 hp at the Flyweel with only 2 valve heads ( old unported stock ls6 2 valve 243 heads)... This goes to prove the Toyota 5.7 racing heads my be superior, but the GM LS block design is superior and light years ahead of Toyota engine.. light years!!!!

same flowing heads on each 5.7 engine and the ls will make 100 more HP than the yota engine..

the ls7 heads, only have 2 valves per cyl, yet has over 500 hp, ls3 has 425 hp/.. only 2 valve heads. toyota needs 32 valve racing heads to achieve 381 fwhp

I'll wager the Iforce 5.7Tundra engine with it's DOHC 32 valve heads is way more expensive to produce than even the ls7.. let alone a ls3 aboyut 4 times as much to build as the old ls6
    yet fails in power.

I admit the 5.7 iforce Tundra stock vs stock is better than the GM,truck for power but equal mods vs equal mods the LS walks all over the Toyota.. as GM builts it's trucks for work, and not having frames rust out or bend under load.. not for racing!

look around the net.. a 5.7 iforce with mods the typical headers, cai, tuned
only put down like 360 rwhp with it's 4 cam 32 valve RACING head..

Yet GM LS 6.0 can put down 400 rwhp with stock 317 non racing heads, small 216@050 cam, cai, headers.. or add only a 2 valve per cyl racing head and cam to the above, and 450 -500 rwhp the tundra 5.7 already having a facroy race head, and mods is over 150 hp less. pethetic
oh wait with a ton of boost the iforce can make power... so can most any engine though!

The toyota worshipers still think they have a superior product.. yet real world results speak for themselves..

look at Nascar, Toyota was suppose to mop up Nascar and the big 3 with it's "Superior engineering".. 1st year they fell on their face.. the Toyota engineers couldn't keep up so--- Toyota give Gibs 1/2 billion dollars to switch over to Toyota.. with AMERICAN tech, they do better..

And again the media and people start mouthing off, on how the Toyota is faster, and now it's going to mop up the competition...
    been 3-4-5 years since then
, how many cup Daytona wins has Toyota got??? EL-ZILCHO
How many Cup Championships has Toyota got-- EL ZILCHIO
since Toyota entered, Chevy Ford and Dodge has won at Daytona.. Toyota again.. EL ZILCHO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yeah that's superior

Not saying Toyota's are pure junk.. but the facts speak for themselfs.. they are not where near superior..

I'm sure GM could put racing heads on there pickup truck, and spend less on frames that did not bend./fail, and have a better truck in the 1/4 mile.

I got 3 times to spank a kid with a glorious 2009 Tundra TRD package , With the Diesel 08 Stock 6.6L and Allyson he got me from the start but then he could not take me off his back tail plate, I was licking his bed liner, in curves and straights. Might add he had suspension pkg and I was stock with 20" with AT305/55/20 (not the syssi 285/45/22 he had)

Then he installed a TRD supercharger, and I went for a Block EGR plate, Deleted Cats and resonators, and a mild NELSON PERFOMANCE tune. Knew he was on 500hp aprox. but now, I get him out of the start and until 115mph he nerver got closer. He wanted to race again, but I told him other time kid.

After that I was cruissing with my rcsb and he was chassing every Chevy in town to prove a point. I was on 8psi street tune. This time I race him from every red light he wanted, at the end all I did was stay on his side, take the hand out and keep telling him to "start running". We were like 100mph, so I floor it, and wave him bye bye.

Since then, he is rolling in a FJ new jeep, I guess he is prepping the Tundra, good luck finding parts for that !!!!

Bottom line, more than writtinf crap, I love to kick toyota ass everytime. I like more action than words.

Titan owners are more settle down, calm, and older most of them, senil in a kind of way !!!!! LOL
