this is for adding springs..but instructions i used first time. You'll get the idea.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

when i took out the overload leaf spring, the center bolt that holds them together was fine.

oh. I had to grind the head of mine off, and pound it out. That sucka was rusted pretty good.

i just held the head with a pair of vise grips, loosing up the nut and whacked it once with a 5lb mallet and out it came. i had issues guiding the head of the center bolt back into the axle.

i think it was still easy for me cause i lifted up the rear of the truck with a wrecker.

    Thanks for all the replies.
    here are the pics:

the first pic that shows the white arrows, that has an extra washer on there. it now blends in with the factory washer thats on there lol

the reason i used washers was cause when i tighten up the nut on the u-bolt, it had like 4 turns on the thread left before it would run out and not tighten anymore. so i used the washer like a spacer just have have a couple more turns on the thread.

i did my friends truck and we did not need any washers on one side, the other side had more thread on it. it was weird but it still worked out ok.

now this 2nd pic shows how my truck sits. i got a 2 in drop using shackles, plus what i got out of the leaf spring i took out.

this other pic is not a close up but it shows how, there was more gap berfore.

Thanks for the pics. I appreciate it. When I get time I will remove them.
