How many of you are using the tb I6 converter? And how well does it hold up behind a stock 5.3?

2001 Silverado, work in progress. Add a vette servo and Nissan e-fans
i have one and i wouldnt recommend it
I found a brand new one and it is 175.00 and thought it was to good to be true. I figured with my luck (That is really not that good anyway) it wouldnt last and would mess up and then I would be out tranny and converter.![]()

lol, i got mine for $100 from a buddy, and i had it to do over i wouldnt do it again
I have the one that is worked over by Circle D and it's held up great so far behind my LQ9. I can't comment no a stock I6 converter though.
2005 Silverado SS AWD
AEM CAI, ARH LTs, HD-2 shift kit with vette servo, Circle D 278mm 3200 stall Madtunesracing.com street tune (MTR now has a Dynojet 248 chassis dyno)
13.82 @ 94.92 w/1.83 60'
i have mine on a 4.8 with a built tranny and the other stuff in my sig and love it. launches alot harder than my buddy with stock verter.
04 ecsb 5.3- perfectly tuned by Nelson perfomance, Pacesetter longtubes, 100 shot n2o from NX, cold air intake.
03 rcsb charbroiled (race truck eventually)
what do the stock i6 verters stall to?
I had one and they are great behind a motor with a stock or small cam but they do start to suck behind a big cam.
They drive like stock and pull outa the hole way better than stock and you dont lose towing capacity like the aftermarket ones.
The one I had stalled at about 2600 behind my 5.3.
