    comp cam brand new 212/218 low lift

    I have a brand new comp cam 54-412-11 212/218 522/529 114 I bought this for a 5.3 project and ended up building a 402 with a bigger cam. Its brand new from comp not a regrind ar anything like that. $300 shipped

    It's better! it's a comp.

    Little different valve opening and closing times and little more duration.

    has 16 degrees more intake duration and 18 degrees more on exhaust and more lift too. I have used this same grind in a 5.3 and a 6.0 and liked it thats why I was gonna do it again , But its just way to small for my new stroker.
    I actually liked it better in my 6.0 but I had big 35' tires too...

    would this be a good street cam for my truck 99 5.3, i drive it mostly highway and dont want to give up to much MPG.

    I have cash in pocket right now too. If only I could sell the ls6 cam laying in my room I would take this off your hands right now.

    I never really compared the gas mileage with my stock cam, But I know it takes alot less throttle on the highway with this cam and you can roll along at 70+ easy. I had this grind with a nelson tune and it was great.

    I am interested, what else would you say i would have to swap out in order to get max performance. And can i run it with out a tune for a few weeks.
