    found a set of complete 5.3 heads for cheap...how much would they help out on the little 4.8?

    As far as I know, unless it's changed, they are the same head.

    Now get them ported with upgraded valves and springs and it will come alive.

    Save the money for a 6.0L take-out swap. Little trucks need BIG engines.

    You could allways up grade to LS1 heads . There running about $150
    for a pair of take offs. You'll lose a littel compression but make up
    for it w/ bigger vavles and better flow.

    You could install one of these!!!

    830+TQ 900+HP

    Look how big that mutha is!!!

    (ignore the tie straps lol, they were just temporary to hold the tubing up)

    This engine was awesome!! Yes you see a MAF there, next step is to tune it without.

    How much boost? That's got to be one of the biggest superchargers I've seen. I wonder when someone is going to put a 6-71 or 8-71 roots blower on an LS1 type engine.

    It was around 15psi, ya that sucka is biggg! The Procharger F1. The engine should be able to take 20psi

    The runs were made on 93oct too.
