Hey guys, need some input.
My truck is having major traction issues. I did some suggested adjustments, tried a little stuff here and there.
It's greatly improved, but does anyone have some fine tuning suggestions while I'm at the track this friday?
The truck seems to pull a lot straighter than it used to, so it's improving there. The ass end squats like it's supposed to, could be more, but at least it's biting now. I'll find out at the track, but it feels about like a 1.75 or a 1.8 60', which isn't anywhere near the potential.
When setting up the suspension for launching, does that apply to highway runs? Reason I'm asking, it doesn't matter if I'm going 40mph or 100mph, the truck will literally smoke the tires and I'm then forced to let off.
I could get into it easier, but when the turbos come on, it's like a big shot, not a gradual increase. I know timing and boost control would help keep it under control, but I wanna keep the good surge of power it has now, but I'd like for it stick, not go up in smoke.
The truck has 11.5 x 29" et's. A four link and adjusted the best I can get it.
So, I'm looking for input from guys that have set them up.
The truck is pretty light in the rear, do you think some weight is needed back there? I really don't want to tub it out either, maybe later.
