    I am going to pick up my motor this week. Im hoping to get the swap done before the end if the month if money allows

    I got the motor last night. One of the knock sensors os broken. Can I use the one from my 4.8 or do I need to buy a new one for the LS1

    they look identical. im pretty sure most of the sensors from your 4.8 will swap over

    Cool, Thanks. Looks like its going to be longer before it goes in the truck. I am going to go ahead and replace the oil pump and rod and main bearings before it I do the swap. Cheap insurance and piece of mind

    Doing a ls1 swap myself. It will all be worth it in the end. I bought my motor thinking aside from upgrades I was good to go. I also am having to send the block off. Mine was cam bearing didnt look too good. If you are replacing all the other bearing myaswell do it too

    stock injectors wont keep up with the LS1
