    4.8 5.7 ls1 swap questions

Im sure this has been asked before but all I could find was 4.8 to 6.0 swap threads. I found a 70k mile complete LS1 for $750 that I want to put in my truck(ecsb 4.8). If I just use the ls1 long block will I need buy any swap parts (other than a new tune)or will all of my 4.8 stuff bolt up.
I am planning on a cam(not sure witch one yet) and stall(probrbly circle D,GM 278mm HP 4L60E LS Torque Converter) while Im doing the swap also.

    TIA for any input

swap over your accessories, oil pan and tube and tray, intake fuel setup. Then plug it all in and go.

Thanks. How much of a pain would it be to use the LS1 intake and would it be better than the truck intake?
Will my starter and flexplate/flywheel work?
When I order my convertor, do I order one for my truck or for the LS1?

Sorry about all the questions but this is my first non-Mustang project.

When I start ordering parts I will post what I have to make sure I have everything. I will be doing the swap 100 miles from home and Im not sure what kind of parts stores they have out there.

    Thanks again for the help

The ls1 intake is less superior flowing than say a ls6 or fast intake, not many people run them if any. Also since the will be in a truck you most likely want to run the truck intake because the downside to the car intake even though you gain top end, you loose a decent amount of torque which never helps a fullsize truck.

your starter and flex plate will swap over.
Order a converter for the truck tranny.
