    Alignment?

Before I replaced my drivers side lower ball joint my steering wheel was straight as an arrow. Now, my steering wheel is cocked to the left. It doesn't pull, but it kinda annoying. Do I need an allignment after replacing it?

Did you replace the lower ball joint?
If you can replace a ball joint you should try the alignment yourself, Ive been doing it for years and always works out great, Only time I pay for one is when its the camber or caster that needs adjusting.

Yeah a lot of people use the string trick for adjusting toe angle but chances are it needs the camber worked on too.

Yeah, I had someone put it on for me, so I'll just take it in. The local place here in town only charges $60. Thanks for the info.

I wonder how it got adjusted. Do you have to remove it to do the ball joint?

no but if the ball joint was out it was sloppy and now its tight so things are at a little different angle.

Gotcha. Yeah, the boot had been torn for a while and would pop and creak when it got dry. So it was pretty much shot.
