    Better safe then sorry....they are cheap insurance.

    Do you need a stall with a z06 cam? i want to do a cam swap also but with mine being a dd i dont want to be running high in the rpm all the time
    2000 RCSB 4.8
    -basic bolt ons but has ambition

    It's not critical but it wouldn't hurt to have one. Even a worked trailblazer stall would be better.

    Stalls don't make you run high rpms all the time. It's more just when starting off. Once you get to a cruising speed, it's like stock. They help keep you in the powerband instead of shifting down so low that it bogs.

    I had the same concern as you and now I dd mine with a 3000 stall.

    2002 4.8, MSD Ignition, 2" Rear Lowering, dual magnaflows, custom cai.

    Autozone has the Trailblazer converter for $180. That's what I used and like it. The truck converter looks identical so the core price is no issue.

    I know this is an old thread but the trailblazer stall, would that be the tbss or just the regular trailblazer?

    p.s. That truck is a doggggg. My stock 6.0 in my Denali can beat him. Hes cam'd 3.73' tuned and bolted.
