help me find a radio

I was wondering if alpine still makes the din & a half radio line.finally got my stereo equipment and cant find a radio i like.i would like a dvd player with no screen just the player.they used to have one so did pioneer but cant find them any more.also sold my wheels and looking to get sss 22'' replicas,does anyone know what site that info on the back spacing and offset is.I want to lower the back 2'' or possible 2/4.

Companies stopped making the 1.5 din radios about 5 years ago I believe. It was about the time that no more cars were being made with 1.5 din radios. The ones that were around were usually pretty basic and crappy anyway(opinion). If it were me then I would do the 03+ bezel/subdash/bottom dash swap and go with a 2 din. Not many companies make seperate DVD players anymore either unless they are strictly DVD and no pre-amp. Go with the bigger brands; Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC, Clarion. NO Jensen, dual, power acoustik, etc. they are JUNK most of the time and their displays usually resemble and 80's video game.

Eclipse or Pioneer Premier. The new Alpines aren't what the old ones were IMO. Kenwoods seem to be decent.

i think im going with th pioneer 2 din.1 question i have is i know i need the 03+ bezel and the lower peice but will my factory heat/ac controls work or can i upgrade them to with the new bezel.

They will work, you have to reposition them and trim the bezel slightly, but it works.
You can't use the 03+ controls anyway, they are for dual zone.

Fer shizzle! I'm starting to push kenwood now because they are the closest I've found to eclipse and premier, and eclipse is no more. Fujitsu ten will still make radios but only for the factory market.

is there a write up on this if not i will do one,but have to wait till it warms up a little bit cold as nuts in ohio and 8-10 inches of snow tommarrow.I got the prefab 12 box and 2-12'' kickers,kicker 1000.1 amp,kicker 6.5 doors,kicker 4x6 rear door,2 kicker tweet,stinger 1 farad digital cap.other than the radio i am going to hide every thing thats why i opted for the prefab box,i want it to be kinda like a sleeper system.

I'm not sure there is a write up but it is super easy, a bunch of 7mm screws for the most part and some hand filing to get the a/c controls to fit right.

check lkq's ebay store, i have bought several decks to resell from them cheap. chances are they will have what you want used and tested cheap, i have bought a lot from them from headers, cold airs, stereos, and ect. with no issues.
