THANKS man....i almost wish i could have called you yesterday when i was doing the wiring lol. Jon at NP was too swamped to return calls, so i cut what i knew i could an then Jon called an explained everything to me.

im thinking about running Nitrous on this motor..but i dont think i will bc this motor has to last atleast a year. then ill have enough for a 6.0

whats the deal with everyone usin a "3150 or 1350" u-joint..sorry if i got it wrong. should i use them?

1350 is about the largest commercially available joint you can easily put on a 1/2ton ride. There are 14 series that are more severe but the 1350 will pretty much hold anything you can throw at it. The crosspins are big compared to the 1310 or 1330. Be sure to buy ones that are sealed/permanently lubed/non-serviceable and have no provisions to be lubed, they're more stout because they don't have a cross drilled hole through the middle.

bare with me...these are the pics i sent my friends when i remembered to take a pic with my phone...im uploading them through my iphone to photobucket so i may get the image links wrong.

    fuel pump

    fuel pump accessories

    fuel pump hotwire kit

    Nelson Performance Custom wiring harness

block surface before heads went on, plus the LS7 lifter trays an lifters installed

what it looked like after i put the heads, adjusted the lifters, an put the valve covers on. notice i used my old DOD valley cover just incase i had to lay something on it or bumped the oil pressure boss

just getting it into the truck

under its own weight an bolted in

    all the wiring narrowed out...wow

the tapped LS7 valley cover. i used a 3/8 NPT tap a 3/8" to 1/8" brass reducer with liquid teflon from work

just a close up of what i used

close up the wiring sorted out, sensor installed

    intake installed

    TB installed 90mm FAST dbc

    with the intake cover

an i call this the Money Shot

That Nelson harness looks sweet! Some sorta braided looms? Cool. What happened to the wiring on the firewall!?!? I would be lost if I had to figure that out. That TB looks huge. What vehicle is that engine cover originally out of?

Yessir, but go to Oreilly's. I hate Autozone. My 80e conversion topic has PN's listed for conversion joints if you need them. BTW, Summitracing can ship them to your door, too.
