I was looking at the cam page, and what exactly is meant by poor drivablity? Is it related to how much lope the cam has?
It's very hard to say a cam has poor drivability, it's about what the driver is willing to put up with and what you consider giving up drivability.
For example, a 228cam with a stock stall will be just fine if you're willing to put up with a bit of pull at stop lights by having a slightly higher idle. Sure the stock stall won't compliment the torque curve, but it will haul ass.

If you want a badass idle, get an electric cutout, it'll make it sound tuff.

vv8's truck is a great example, big cam in a 5.3L and runs great for a daily driver.

I think there are better choices than the hotcam out there.

A cam upgrade is a great modification, you'll enjoy it!
