thanks for the replys. I was hopping to hear that someone else had a similar problem.

It had no oil pressure. What baffled me was there was no lifter noise, no knocking when restarted a handful of times. So out it came. The pressure relief valve and oil pump look fine. It will have a new pump anyway. Pick up and o-ring where fine. I guess if its a strange problem I'd have it. Oh well it will be fresh and I may just add a cam for some extra performance because I'm this close to it now!
