Nobody makes a set of production long tube headers for the LS1 in a 88-98 truck. I tried and tried to talk Hooker into building us swappers a set but they want a minimum order of 100 sets before they will design some. Street and Performance G-body headers were recommended as a good fitment for mid-length headers. I don't know if any truck shorties will fit due to the upper a-arm bracket clearance. If you dont go S&P you'll probably have to go get a custom set made or use f-body shorties. I looked at the Hummer shorties, they may fit around the a-arms. Let me know what you end up doing because I will be doing something soon myself. I know someone bought a set of pacesetters for a late model and tried to fit them in an 88-98 body and they wouldn't work. Worse comes to worse you can buy a set of Hooker headers for the OBS and a set of LS1 flanges and then have the two married together. S&P will build you a custom set of long tubes if you want to pay the bucks to drive the truck to Mena Arkansas and sit there a few days while they build, coat and install them for you.

PHEW!!! Damn I'm long winded.
