It does sometimes feel like a long drive even though you make good time. More than half the miles on my truck are from the 10 but I 10 is a straight shot to Florida and has access to other roads that lead to big towns. Oh and its Yuma that you are talking about in AZ(that place sucks).

I have been all the fricken way on I-10 east to west , west to east. What a horrible trip. Where in FL are you going? Red is right 100%. I would also get plenty of numbers in case any thing happens. Lots of good guys in between here and there. I have been on the side of the road in El Paso and 14 miles outside of Barsto Ca. No numbers no help dead Ford. It sucked

If you take the 10 you will drive right by me.
I have taken the 10 all over the place. When you come through AZ we could maybe hit the track.

Dang man...going all the way down to I-10? Sounds like you may be going farter South than you need...

When you make your way through, make sure to post up. We can recommend places to stay and also plan you a stop in Texas...

First of all, thank you everyone. I can already tell that all of you are going to make my trip a lot better than I thought. I'm currently in San Diego but I am discharged on Oct 27th. From there I'm heading back home to Walnut Grove which is in the Sacramento area (NorCal). Gonna relax and get my stuff together and head out to Daytona Beach, FL in early January - probably right after new years. The best google route looks to be as follows:

I-5 (west coast freeway) south

I-10 East - through Phoenix, Tucson, San Antonio, Houston, Jacksonville

I-95 South to Daytona Beach, FL

And yes, I'll hit the track in AZ.......Still haven't ran the 1/4, only the 1/8

When you come through AZ be sure to let us know when youre gonna be here so I can make sure I will be at the track that day.

Will do. Not to be redundant but I'll be making the trip in early January, just not sure exactly what days. By the way, how many people are in the Dallas area?
