Thread: Got a set of L92s

    Got a set of L92s

Picked these up Saturday. L92s milled .030 with .650 lift crane valve springs. Sent them to a local machine shop and had the exhaust ports cleaned up and sand blasted. Still gotta pick up a l92 vic jr and some rockers and few other small parts.

Also question for Quik. On your 408 iirc you had a pretty similar cam to mine. Did you have any ptv issues? Did you run a piston for l92 heads?

i ran those heads milled .030 and with crane springs. ill say the crane springs couldnt handle the weight of the 2.18 valves.

i had standard dish pistons -13cc and i had contact. i ran a .041 gasket. youll need 7.35 pushrods, i would get stronger sprigns with better seat pressure

crane golds dont have enought seat pressure to them to hold the heavy valves of the L92s steady with a healty cam. PRC 650 have better seat pressure. im sure the 660s are an upgrade as well

not mention PTV will come into play since those valves so large
