Sleaper is correct. 3.905 bore and 4.0 stroke. which is 383.02ci.

So I have been looking at the 220/220 cam that thunder racing and texas speed offer and they look like the same duration but way different lift. texas @.581/.581 and TR @.551/.551. which one would be favorable?

I wanted to keep my torque converter stock.

What is the max lift my yellow valve springs on the 243s can take?
if you want a stock manor cam with power go to the cheater from thunder. I always prefer thunder over TSP. Tsp is good but i like thunder better

what is the longevity of a cam like this or a tr220? I don't wanna be replacing valvatrain parts after the fact. I want this motor to run for a long time and be reliable.

And who would you guys recommend for a mail order tune so I can get some miles on it before taking in to be dyno tuned?

you should know who they're gonna recommend around here
not that Allen ain't good or anything... just he ain't the only option. some people also have BlackBear, Wait4Me, and Wheatley mail-order tunes.
00 FRC - just top end, exhaust, and a hot-air intake
    99 Sierra - 5.3 / 5spd

If you're planning on getting it dyno tuned anyway, I'd see if who ever is doing your dyno tune would do it, that way you don't have to pay for twice the credits on HPT.

It really depends on when the motor is done and back in the truck. My local tuner is going to be gone til first part of February. If it takes that long to get it all done then I will just have him tune it. My local tuner is Vince @ Trifecta Perf.

So would the Thunder Racing TR220-114 work with my stock stall torque converter? The tranny was rebuilt 10k ago with a shift kit.

I think that would be a good cam for you if you used a TB stall.

stock 6litre one is plenty. there isnt one reason to run aftermarket with the quality gm builds these days.
