    New Gauge Needles

    I decided to remove the orange from the needles and frost them.

    i plan on doing that when i do the LED swap... some time

    what'd you use? nail polish remover?

    i used paint stripper on a q-tip. it pulled the orange right off. then i went over it with some fine grit sandpaper to give it the frosted look.

    did you pull them off to do it? i was thinking about leaving them on..wasn't sure if orange is on top or bottom
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    not very bright actually, lol. I was gonna do pure white LEDs for the gauges and then modify the needles so that they are blue.

    you have to pull em off, orange is on bottom. not hard tho, took me all but 10 minutes.

    I guess the needles on the 03-up are different. The base looks a little different. I have some on my desk here and the plastic is tinted orange on the pointers on them.

    well that sucks. you can always buy a set of clear needles from ebay.
