    New factory radio

I am needing to replace my stock am/fm/cd/tape radio in my 04 silverado. I am going to be buying a factory am/fm/cd-6 and was wondering how much the dealer might charge to program the radio to the trucks computer. My current radio isn't wanting to load or eject CD's without a fight. Thanks!

Probably more than pioneer's motorized 7"touchscreen 6-disc DVD changer. Just guessing.

1 hour labor most likely. That's what the one here charges.

BTW if the cd player you are looking at has a tape player, it isn't a 6 disc. Tape player only came on the single disc.

I've been looking at aftermarket units from crutchfield. I think I might go that route. is the factory unit a double din?

Yes, the factory radio is a double din. How is Crutchfield a ripoff? I bought my radio from them, and when the $350 radio took a crap on me they replaced it free of charge. A+ in my book. Not saying you can't find a better deal, but it is hard to beat their customer service.
