    Google G-1 w/ Android

Well, got the new G-1 from T-mobile to replace my stolen phone.
The T-Mobile G1 with Google phone | Official Site

Have to say - Two Thumbs Up !!!!!
    easy to use,
    good operating logic and feel
camera, video, GPS, web, gmail act. friendly, removable SD memory card.

Very cool phone, easy to use, full keyboard behind the screen.
and all the Aps are still free for download.

Only real complaint is it does not have a mini-jack for standard headphones.
You have to use a USB or Bluetooth set.

Seems to really suck the battery down quick if you are sitting there and
    using it constantly too.

I picked up the Droid and love it. Android runs quick and plenty of apps. Can't find the GTEC app yet though, somebody build one!

    Coolest aps so far.

i-Music: download songs for free. You're supposed to erase them after listening
once, but there is no provision to make you do it.

Houston Traffic: check color coded freeway map, watch TxDoT freeway cams,
incident reports, ......... the freeway cam pictures are very cool.
Worried if the Pierce elevated thru downtown is backed-up ? Just take a look. ... Very cool.

    Movie listings:
uses GPS location to check theaters near you for all times and listings.

    Weather Chnl:
uses GPS to tell you local weather and radar maps

Shop Savy: reads bar codes, then instantly searches internet for information
and pricing. Say you're at Best Buy and wonder how much that blender you
are looking at would be if you ordered it off Amazon or Walmart online instead ???
Just scan the bar code on the box and it goes looking for it. Very neat.

My sister got the new Motorola Droid (Verizon) too, she loves it. Android-based phones are looking to be the way to go for those that want an iPhone-like phone but don't wanna be tied to AT&T.
