sorry to bump an old thread but i figure its better than starting a new one

i am wanting to put a stall in my truck 01 rcsb 5.3 with a 4l60e. looking at a yank 2600 or a circle d reman tb convertor

my truck has a tune in it from zippy, i know the shift points and line pressures are changed for the tranny. My question is am i going to have to have it retuned once the converter is put in? and if so would it be safe to drive 5 hours to have it retuned by a reputable shop?

    thanks

no... your tune will be fine... trans may feel a little softer with the stall... I would sugest putting servos in while u have the trans out...
