Well I'm into classic cars and trucks and I done some metal fab for someone and he could not pay me and he told me I could have the motor for my project if I wanted it. I building a 55 chevy truck and it may go in that I doing some research if I want to use the motor our not. He gave me the motor and trans and harness. The truck will be low and mean looking so I was going to build a 383 stroker with a thumper cam for it. Its got to sound mean so I need to research cams and things like that for the ls engine. I'm leaning towards a 383 stroker because I know and understand that engine, but I have to see whats up the the LS series. I have the 350 block I'm using for the 383 and now I have this 5.3 so I guess I'm going to tell the guy ok and let him off the hook for the money.Originally Posted by PitchBlackC3
