When I got my whipple new it used the stock truck crank pulley. Changing it to a different pulley changes the speed at which the acc and whipple turn. No need to do that unless you have the whipple that wont take smaller pulleys.
99RCSB Broke because I wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on my truck.

im looking at this picture, but the front bracket doesnt look right for a lsx engine. it is slotted right in front of where the t.b. would mount. is this maybe for a 5.7 like a vortec 350? it just doesnt look like anything on whipples site? i only ask cause im interested but its gotta work for me....gene

its a side mount, mounts to the passenger side of the motor. the kit is specifically made for a 99-02 style but will bolt up to any lsx motor you will just have to have custom tune instead of using the piggyback wiring but thats the route everyone goes anyway. this is another member on the forum with the same charger but black and its on a 6.0.

see the difference? the black one has no bracket bolted behind supercharger pulley and is what im used to seeing on these, (and kenne belle) yours has a bracket ive never seen in an lsx configuration. the bracket im speaking of actually bolts behind the supercharger pulley using the snout bolts and then has a slotted grove right in front of the outlet to throttle body. never seen that on a whipple or kenne belle. those are the only two side mounts im familiar with other than centrificals. anyone see this bracket before on a ls? i'm just scared id buy it and it doesnt fit. different animal for sure......gene
