Those trucks are throttle body fuel injected. Everybody knows that throttle body sucks. Edelbrock makes a kit to upgrade it to port i do believe. They did a build of one on Trucks! one time. I've never even seen one in real life though lol. But they are sweet, i like that body style.

A buddy of mine had one and they were turds at racing but could pull like you wouldn't believe. They were only rated at 230hp compared to the old TBI 350 rated at 215 but I think the TQ on the 454 was something like 450 ftlbs! I know a '97 vortec 350 would eat them alive at the track...I still wanted one!

They dont stop for crap. You buy one count on spending thousands to upgrade to real brakes.

it's the fuel injection that is the problem. it is very restricting in air and fuel. shave the heads, throw in a decent cam and carb and you'll have a 400+hp monster.

Possibly the best looking factory chevy truck built. I started to buy one in 98 and after driving it I was terribly disappointed. Looks were deceiving. Nothing a crap load of cash could not fix.

Or just a bottle. We have been thinking and tinkering about build one, just too many other projects to get. You had a couple of options depending on year, T400 or 700r4 I think was the O/d tranny of that day. Easy to tell by the decals on the side. Square ss or more swoopy ss. I liked the truck not a fan of the RED though... All black whould have been nicer I think...
Neighbor got one, off ebay. Told it was all perfect. Had it deleiver, the bed on the bottom side was GREEN.. LOL perfect just not origanal.... Good luck I always believe buy and build what you want, and do not worry about the rest.

Simply the best turbo kit for late model GM trucks.

Custom fabrication to fit your budget and needs.
