    How are they taking a AWD truck with a boom style tow truck? If they are using a flat bed you would definitely hear the thing idling while they are loading it up.

    the AWD will spin the front tires still...but honestly a thief could careless if the t-case breaks while they are dragging it...thats only a few bucks they will loose

    Both valid points - but now that you mention it, all four trucks stolen were 2WD; I did not realize that until you just pointed that out.
