T-5 transmissions

Does anyone know the diffrence in a camaro T-5 5 speed standard transmission. And a T-5 5 speed trans out of a S-10. Before you think I am crazy. I know the shift leavers are diffrent,and located in a diffrent place on the tranmissions. But I was thinking of converting my early model truck over from a automatic to a standard,maybe a T-5. And the camaro trans,has the shift leaver to far back on the trans. I was wondering if it was as strong built as the camaro trans. Also someone said,sometimes the gear in small truck transmission,like the S-10. Are lowered geared because the engine is smaller. Thanks guys if you have any info on this.

I was thinking the t5 had multiple places to mount the shifter. All the internals are there to hook up where you want/need. I have never installed one so don't quote me.
