I have found a set of 6.0 LQ9 #317 heads, and was wondering if they would fit my 2002 silverado 5.3 and if so would there be a horsepower gain...

They will fit and they will flow better than the 5.3 heads. I say go for it. Mabye do a little porting before you install them.

If I recall the LQ9 heads are the same as the LS6 heads with larger combustion chambers. They flow to much for a natraly asperated 5.3 and will kill power acrost the rpm range, they will also lower your compression ratio enless you mill them down. They will work great with forced induction though .
