I am going to keep the compression level down to stock levels or lower. I ran my previous engine on regular unleaded without problems, except when some idiot in my head convinced me to descreen the MAF and caused lean conditions. Sometimes I listen to the voices.I've even thought about converting to alcohol if the price is fair. It takes quite a bit more but may be cheaper in the long run. I have a line on a set of 55 lb injectors if I decide to do that. Hopefully the 255 pump would suffice. Right now San Antonio is the only place close with E85. Surely ethanol is available somewhere locally.
I originally didn't plan on dual springs, SDPC2000.com chose them for me. I told them the cam I was running and they sent me what they thought I should be running with the cam. Cost me $80 more than what I thought I was going to be paying but they seem to know these engines pretty good. It was funny that they didn't know about the high volume oil pump. I've been waiting almost 2 years for GM to make these pumps available.
