Today I received one of the first publicly available GM high volume LSx oil pumps from Scoggins Dickey Parts Company. The oil pump rotor on a stock LSx is .421 wide and the new one from an LH6 engine is .508 wide. That is 20% more oil volume friends!!! I am also glad I decided to replace the pump because I tore down the old one and found that the front oil pump cover was leaking. There were oil stains between the body of the pump and the cover. Also received new Manley dual springs and titanium retainers to match the new cam. Got a new LS2 timing chain set, gaskets, valve seals and of course a new balancer bolt. Now I am trying to decide if I buy a set of new lifters to go with the rest of this new valve train. I already had a set of 7.400" Comp Cams pushrods from my old engine.
