the calipers are different, u cant change rotors without changing calipers, i dunno bout having different pistons in the calipers though

I cross checked the part numbers and they were the same????

But yeah, one would think that a larger dia rotor would need a different caliper...

I know that the larger caliper will bolt right up to where the smaller caliper did. There shouldn't be any fitment issues...as long as you run a 17" wheel. This is the reason why GM went from a 16" wheel standard for the 99-03 and then upped to the 17" wheel in 04--because of the larger caliper/rotor size.

yeah, they have to have the newer caliper...trust me i tried to use the same calipers at first, i didnt notice the rotors were larger at first, and they wont spin with the older calipers on there, and you are also correct on the 17" minimum wheel size...i have to have 17 or bigger now

i could definately see the calipers being the same. so for whoever said they checked the part numbers and they are the same good job. with the larger diameter rotor you really dont need a diff caliper just the abutement (caliper bracket). that moves it away from the rotor centerline for clearance and better leverage. same goes for z28 vs vette calipers. you can interchange calipers as long as the abutement stays with the vehicle. my two cents, get the bigger 05-06 rotors and caliper brackets and some ceramic pads and reuse your calipers so you dont have to open the system....gene
