I have a circle D rewokrd as well and love it.
The 4.8 has a high stall 12" from the factory. If you go to a 11" 278mm OE TB stall, you will see about 4-500 RPM increase in stall. If you go to my 278mm stall, you will see about a 800-1000 increase. I rate my converter 2800-3200, because it varies by how much power you put to it. The more HP you have, the more it will stall. I have my TB stall at a special price of $375, very affordable performance.
