    You could put the engine in there but you may never get it to pass any inspection ever in it's future. I don't mean to rain on your parade but that old of an engine in this new of a vehicle is wrong in so many ways, legally. You may be able to get around the regulations in LA but if you ever try to sell it with that engine you'll likely get scrap metal price for the whole truck. Don't ruin a beautiful truck like that, sell the old engine and start saving money up to buy a late model engine to swap into the 07. You have many options, 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 6.2... When you're ready to do a swap, let us know and we'll be glad to help you out with what all you'll need. There are a couple topics in the conversion section on how to do a v6 to v8 conversion on the NBS trucks.
