ok ive got a question i have a 2003 chevy with rear disk brakes will 15" rims clear the disk breaks with the right offset so i can mount slicks on them and also will 15" rims fit on the front or do they make a narow 16" rim and tire for the front all for drag racing skinnys on the front wides on the back
I would use 16's.
15's will fit fine on the front but they will require a lot of grinding to the calipers on the rear. thats what i have on my truck right now, 15" aluminum. the steel wheels require less grinding, but you'll still have to grind some.

ok thanx for the info do they make a skinny 15" rim with 6 lugs i was just thinkin 15" because more choices for drag tires also the skinner the tire on the front less drag
Its all about the inside diameter of the wheels. I had done a set of 16" OBS Escalade wheels on my truck, and they didn't fit... I would measure the CL of the hub to the top of the caliper housing...multiply that X2 and you will get the I.D. of the wheel.

i'm not sure. i have never looked for 6 lug skinnies. prolly have to run a 7 or 8" wide on the front with a 6 lug.Originally Posted by cjcalhoun

ya i work at a tire/repaire shop i can get 6" wide
