    Exclamation 4l80e Driveshaft De Lima!

I have been putting everthing in a pile in the corner of my garage for a couple of weeks for the 4L80e swap and I am still not sure what to do with the driveshaft, the truck is a 2wd CC 1/2 ton with the 143" wheel base and a 5" aluminum one piece driveshaft. Dennys drive shaft said I would need to get a two piece driveshaft for the power that I will be putting down and he said do not use the longer 32 spline slip yoke, and the shaft right now is about 82"'s long so what will need to be done to do the swap?

Just go with the two piece. The only thing is that you will need to make a bracket to mount the carrier bearing. The length is one of the main weaknesses in a properly built driveshaft. If you have the right amount of speed and power going thru it, it will start to turn into a banana shape.
    Step 1. crus at it.
    Step 2. get a hammer.
    Step 3. torch it.
