The Radix is in. The Nelso tune is in. The trans stuff goes in next week. Fantastic improvement but.... Now what?
What can I do to further improve performance?
Throttle body? Injectors? Hotter ignition of some sort? Gears (got 373's now). Don't think I want to go with Nitrous.... sounds dangerous to parts.
I wanna go quick. Recommendations will be appreciated.
A couple things i'll try and tackle here:
E-fans: DO IT. This is a great, nice gain low pain mod. Recommend a Nelson fan harness and 160* t-stat to go w/ it. Plenty of posts here to serach for advice and different setups. Your Nelson tune probably has the on/off temps already programmed. Check w/ Allen to make sure.
Ignition Wires: If still running carbon conductor stockers, DO IT. Stay w/ a no gimmick, well known brand of the spiral conductor type. MSD, Magnecor, Taylor. Don't know your mileage, but maybe check the plugs too.
TB upgrade: Don't buy an aftermarket TB. Maybe a port job if you're so inclined. I have a Shaner S3 port job on mine. IMHO, it's hardly worth it.
Base: 2004 Victory Red Silverado 1500 2WD RCLB, LR4, 4L60E, 3.73, HD Suspension, P245/75R16 Tires
Mechanical/Performance: Nelson 93 Octane Tune (See Slamma's CarDomain.Com Page for more details)
