My friend that works for the Silverado salvage yard called me today and told me about an 05 shortblock they had. I got the block with rods, pistons, crank,cam, and lifters for $75. He hooked me up with all of the bolts from a 5.3 he had just torn down too. Hes gonna give me an oil pan, windage tray, timing cover, and valley cover when he rounds some up.

you have the same plan i have but instead it'll be a 6.0 going to a forged 370 and front mount.
are you gonna spend the extra cash on ARP bolts or the build?
whats the purpose of the build? turbo, supercharger, N/A, Nitrous?
