Not if you had to drive one or work on one.
I used to like Corvette's then I had to put a C6 on a hoist, my distaste grew, I've grown tired of falling into them and feeling so low that if I hit a speedbump there's a good chance I'd lose my genitalia. There fun to drive but the novelty soon wears off

Because they don't look like the original? I mean that's like saying that the vette needs to be shipped off cuz they dont look like the same anymore. I guess all the C6's need to go to Italy cuz they look like a Ferrari. Times change and so do designs. Personally I don't find anything with an LS2 a disgrace. But some like looks more than power. To each their own I guess.

You are comparing apples to oranges, Corvettes still have the Corvette style they have always kept but with a few newer touches. I like the power and the idea of a new GTO. In fact, I was stoked when I saw the concept and I would have done what it took to buy one if they had came out. my complaint with the new gto is that they took a car that GM makes in Australia and put a LS1 in it. Then when that model wasnt doing as good they tried beefing it up with an LS2. The problem is that they took a car that looks like a Grand Am and a Honda Accord mated and slapped a GTO emblem on it. They should have done like they did with the Camaro. Make a new car that looks mean and sleek, add in some retro styling mixed with some futuristic style. Instead, Pontiac did like they have done for the past 30 years and half-assed it. They didn't want to produce something totally new, they just wanted it to be new to Americans. In 1964 when the original GTO came out it was innovative, yes it had some of the same Pontiac body lines and style but it was the first mid-sized car to have a big block motor and it was FAST! Most of us in the classic GTO world despise the new disgrace. There are a few classic GTO owners that have one simply because it is a GTO and I too have thought about buying one for that reason. Truth is, I can't make myself buy a car that I wouldn't love. The new GTO has nothing in relation to the old one except big power in a small package. To each his own and I'm sure the owners of the newer cars love them but I hate them and that's all I'm saying. I'm not trying to push my views on anyone, I was just stating my opinion that I feel very strongly about.

Well said. You caught the 2 main reason I like it. big power small package. I also needed a car with more than 2 seats. The f-bodys were horrible with rattles and clanks that would drive me nuts. I wanted some thing newer.
The thing I hate about corvettes is the fiberglass. I will never understand that. If you ding a door or get dinged it can be a major repair. Screw that.
