When my wife and i got married My father in law drove this truck to our wedding bringing my wife with him and after he passed he left it to me. so we both are pretty attached to it. thanks for the advice
So can i get one of those wiring harness from painless wiring. also do you guys know if my transfer case and the ls1 transmisson will bolt up or will that be a problem.
You can get the harness from Painless or Nelson. I suggest Nelson. You'll of course need the PCM and such from the LS based engine, and I suggest going with a 4L80e instead of the 60 that will be mated to the majority of LS engines.

Okay so i have been going over my 302 equipped truck. I have Ran into a problem. Somewhere along the line ford decided to have a speed o meter to get its signal from the rear axle also it makes the truck have an electronic speed o meter. Now to take care of the problem i can buy an aftermarket speed o meter but the gauge panel is extreamly small in these trucks. here is an example
My Other concerns are the transfer case weither it will bolt up or not.
Any thoughts?
Why not just get a functioning speedometer from a junk yard ?
