yep just got home from hrp tonight and went 13.54, after shifting into 3rd gear and at 88 mph it goes from 5k to 4500, allen you were right leaving the converter unlocked made me faster lol. oh yeah went 13.54 tonight, and crossing the traps at 5k instead of 5500. If i could of went with it unlocked it would of been faster i think, allen the shift points are perfect. later, kevin

Ross put in a new cam sprocket and just line up the dots you will be alot faster.

Allen helped me put in a new cam sprocket. It changed the idle a little bit, but didn't change the dyno chart at all.

Now I'm at a little bit of a loss as to what to try next.

    My thoughts are:

    1. Possilbe Coil Problem. We were getting a wierd read from the DYNO when it was attached to one specific wire. My only problem with this theory is that I would think the PCM would alert us to that.

    2. Possilbe Bad PCM? Once again the only reason I would suspect this is...There was some audible knock the other day, but no KR from the PCM.

    3. Last but not least. Something wrong with the Cam. Just a bad grind.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

How many miles on the Whipple? Could the teflon blades be worn out and causing some problems? I know you have to have them rebuilt ocassionally to replace the wipers. I was going to ask if the boost level is the same or not but if you've changed cams or a cam is going bad the boost level will change. Put a dial indicator on the lifters and see if you get consistant values on your intakes vs. exhaust lifts.

The whipple has some miles on it, but has recently been re-furbed by whipple. Boost is steady at around 6 psi. All the way across the rpm range.
