yeah, 98 is the SBC setup for the flexplate and you'll still need the spacer and flat flexplate to use the stock 98 trans stuff.

THANKS RedHeartbeat ive just pulled the 700r4 going down in the morning to pickup the 4l60e !! it pays to do some research and ask questions i aprectate your help next on the list is a set of f body manifolds my truck one hit the frame i think the f body ones are a tighter fit!!Originally Posted by RedHeartbeat
yes they are. I have used the 98 fbody exhaust, they're stamped stainless steel and a lot tighter fitting than the cast iron manifolds.

do you know if any other model (later) camaro or firebird are as tight!!??
here is where im at got the engine in !! now working on getting some manifolds for it to fit !!
