if you can clamp a pair of vise grips on the remainder of the tube, maybe you can get under the truck and hit the grips with a punch and hammer to get it to come out.

He lives way up north and plays in the snow. That means corrosion is holding the tube.

Ok I understand now. I need to tap it up from underneath, I took the 15mm bolt off and cut that part of the tube off. It is rusty down by where it goes into the block but it isnt too bad yet. I wasnt sure of it was held on from the inside or something.

You guys down south dont know how good you have it. If I could move down south I would do it in a heart beat! There are 5 year old trucks up here completely roached from the road salt. If you dont have your truck undercoated and wash it once a week or more up here it will be toast. Our old plow truck literally fell off the frame, the cab mounts and cross members rotted off and the cab fell on to the frame and then the inner and outer rocker panels fell off and the cab basically imploded.

    Thanks for the help everybody.

if you ever have that trouble again just buy a turbo kit and don't vent the valve covers enough I promise the dipstick will come out. (ask me how i know)
    Name: Mark,
God created turbo lag so nitrous trucks could have a chance.
