not hitting bump stop

last night i replaced my stock throttle body with a shaners throttle body. i had my GF floor it with the truck off and it hit the bump stop fine. today i decided to remove my helix tb spacer. when i took it out for a drive i found that it shifts 1-2 at 5000 instead of 6000. so i start trouble shooting and figured out that the throttle isnt making it to the bump stop.

i dont know how far its missing by because i just rubbed grease on the bump stop and it never made it to the throttle mover thingy(nobody to help).

will the computer learn to make up for this lack of throttle or do i need to adjust something?????

you need to adjust the throttle cable length. There is a push pin mechanism you can pull on the cable to shorten or lengthen the cable. It's typically at the throttle body end of the cable. Cut you a broom handle or 2x4 and wedge the accelerator pedal down all the way and then go under the hood and make your adjustments. the throttle cable had to be lengthened to allow the TB spacer or a special bracket had to be sent with the spacer to offset the distance.

i got it taken care of. this throttle body came on my truck when i bought it so i didnt know that there was a bracket under the engine cover bringing the throttle cables out farther. took that off and it runs like a champ
