Take them to a plater and have them remove it. Thats about the only way that will work without hurting the wheel.

x2...thats not something i suggest messing with yourself
(i asume you are talking about the ones that look like a spare wheel) if just the front is chrome then take a screwdriver to it, they are just glued on.

swap for a set of steelies, or do like i did on my little nissan, sand it and use self etching primer, and then some good paint like rustoleum or krylon and paint them, just an idea, mine have been done for about 4 months now and no chipps, or bad spots... it is labor intensive tho, finger tips beware!!!!!!!!

Man I sandblasted my front bumper with medium grit it seemed to work pretty well!
