I have a 6.0l out of a 02' truck. Will an LS1 intake fit? If so, what year and mods does it take to do so? Sorry to thread jack.
all years of ls1, ls2 and ls6 intakes will fit your engine.

Thanks. Is it s good sugestion to do this? Will my throttle body and other parts fit it?
Why would you want to swap to an ls1(I don't mean that rude).
I have seen 2 different flow tests of the stock ls1, ls6, truck, and fast intakes.
Every graph I saw the truck intake out flowed the stock ls1 intake until way up top into the rpm range(past 5000 rpm).
The truck intake is taller like Jeff said. That's a good reason why it flows better at lower RPM. I haven't quite figured out why it flows better at higher rpm yet.
I figured it was better. I am new to this type of engine. Thanks for the info. I'll stick with what I have.
I think there's a write-up on that in this forum. The year you want is from '01 to '04. I don't think it's really worth the swap unless your planning on spending a lot of time in the higher RPMs IMO.
If I were to pay money to update my intake I would buy a new Weiand composite intake. Makes more power than any other out there that I've heard of and its reasonably priced unlike the FAST intake.
