I dont know if anyone has tried these kits. I used one in my old truck with a 700r4 and was happy with it. Looking at a kit for my 2000 now and am wondering if the "SS" kit is worth the extra $300. They have a similar spec list but the bold things are only in the "SS" kit. (And the cheaper kit says it only has Alto brand clutches and steels for 3-4) What do you guys think? Worth $899 vs. $599?

The kit looks good but the guy doing the show does not have a clue what he is doing with a trans. I found it quite funny when he installed the pump bushing with a socket. Best part was he installed it from the converter seal side of the pump. That is a big no no. Reason being is there is a raised area in the pump to help prevent the bushing from walking out into the front seal. I'm guessing he might have had an issue installing the converter because the bushing I'm sure was definitely tight! I love watching these TV shows when they do trans work. I almost always see a mistake made and they put it on national TV!
