transbrake vs everything else???

you don't have traction now, what makes you think your going to have it with a transbrake, lol...

ive changed up the suspension alot... took off the shackle hanger setup and put on a flip kit. it lowered my rear end 2" and set my truck exactly level so i dont have that 2" rake that i used to have. hopefully it helps transfer a little more weight. what the flip kit also did for me was put my caltracs at the proper operating angle. calvert explained to me that you want the bars as parallel to the surface as possible. my thing pointing WAY up with the shackle hanger setup. now the par sits EXACTLY parallel to the ground. i havent had a chance to test it on the track yet but it feels awesome on the street with the drag radials.

calvert also told me to tighten my shocks if the truck was se-sawing like it was. usually raced with them pretty soft because my suspension was so stiff with the shackle hanger drop.now it rides like factory with the flip kit. im guna stiffen my shocks up to about 7 or 8 and see if it will quit unloading the rear tires. it usually hooked initially but then it would unload and spin.

im also getting rid of the 16" wheels and hoosiers for some 15" wheels like yours. it will give me some more sidewall, more width and a all round better tire than the hoosier slick. going for the MT 28x10.5-15 slick. all the experienced racers in my class swear by them and call my hoosiers flinstone tires haha. i also hear that they like to be shocked instead of loaded but who knows until you try it...
