You must have gotten a few bad knock-offs. Damn Chinese are flooding the market with copies complete with the Walbro symbol stamped on them. One clue I hear is that some of the knock-offs don't have a polished case like the legit units. I've never had a Walbro failure. I always get mine from Racetronix. +1 on the Walbro. Been running mine for over 2 years with no issues and didn't have to hack the bucket at all. To each his own....
