    what's wrong with wd40? if it's exposed, he can drive around block and see if it stops making "clunck" ....pulling ds, and greasing seems like a lot of effort for troubleshooting, spraying a can under truck is lot quicker.
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    Spraying from underneath does not get in the splines where the problem is. WD40 washes off too....especially on the outside.

    I've been told mods don't void warranty. They only problem is if the mod breaks something else....then the warranty wont cover the broken part.

    Isn't that backward Nathan? You would have to prove the mod didn't cause the failure...unless you were speaking from the dealer POV.
